Introducing Jerry's Tour
Emily Wilson is a 26-year-old multisport athlete and avid outdoor enthusiast from Wanaka who also has type one diabetes. Emily is the current International Diabetes Federation Young Leader for New Zealand, and describes herself as a fun-loving, determined person, who wants to grow and improve herself through new experiences.
Teaching, facilitating and organising events for youth for the last 7 years, Emily is passionate about health, travelling and empowering young people to be the best they can be.
In November 2017, Emily begins a multisport tour the entire length of New Zealand, that's top to bottom, with an interactive type 1 teddy bear called Jerry.

Hamilton-Jerry's Teddy Bear Picnic
Come join us for a picnic! In association with Diabetes Youth Waikato, we will be hosting a family picnic from 11.30-2.30pm, Sunday the 12th of November at Enderley Park in Hamilton. Bring your teddies, friends and a plate to share. There will be a BBQ, games, a bouncy castle and a chance to meet Jerry and hear about his adventures down the country with Emily.
